Jarrett Hardwick joined the Oral Roberts staff in August 2016 and serves as the primary media contact for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis. Prior to joining the Golden Eagles, Hardwick served as Director of Communications at Will Rogers United Methodist Church in Tulsa where he was responsible for all communication platforms as well as coordinated audio-visual operations for weekly worship services.
As an undergraduate, Hardwick spent one year as a student assistant with the athletic media relations department at Oklahoma State University. While at OSU, Hardwick worked media operations for all OSU’s 14 varsity sports. He was responsible for producing game notes, scheduling interviews and recording stats. He worked especially close with the women’s basketball program serving on the statcrew. He traveled with the Cowgirls to the 2015 Big 12 Championship in Dallas and the 2015 NCAA Tournament in Tallahassee, Florida.
Hardwick has worked media operations for various Summit League, Big 12 Conference and NCAA events. He worked media coordination for the the 2015, 2016 and 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Regionals in Oklahoma City, Dallas and Kansas City, the 2015 and 2016 Big 12 Conference Baseball Championships in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, the 2015 NCAA Baseball Stillwater Regional, the 2015 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, the 2016 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship in Oklahoma City, the 2016 and 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball 1st & 2nd Rounds in Oklahoma City and Dallas along with the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Big 12 Football Media Days in Dallas. He was also a part of the 2017 Women’s Basketball Final Four media coordination team in Dallas. With the Golden Eagles, Hardwick has been to multiple Summit League Championships such as baseball, basketball and track and field. Hardwick traveled with ORU Baseball to the 2017 NCAA Fayetteville Regional.
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hardwick graduated from Union High School in May 2011. He then continued his education at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in sports media with a strategic communications emphasis in July 2015. He plans to further his education and pursue a master’s in business administration at Oral Roberts University. He is a member of the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
