OUT OF THE BOX

• ORU enters the weekend series at North Dakota State on a six-game winning streak and has won 15 of their last 16 games. The streak has seen ORU jumped four spots in the official NCAA RPI moving to #31 after finishing a 5-1 record against Big 12 teams and sweeping 10th-ranked Oklahoma State.

• One of the two Summit League losses on the Golden Eagles record was courtesy of NDSU on March 14 in a 4-3 defeat. Since that loss ORU has won 17 of 19 games and stand comfortably atop the Summit League standings as the Bison enter on a four-game skid having lost 12 of 15 since the series.

• During the six game winning streak three players are hitting above .400 with Dean Wilson hitting .571 and Derrian James hitting an even .500. The trio has combined for 24 RBI, two home runs and 11 doubles. James also enters the weekend with a .867 slugging percentage during the streak and .546 on the year.
• Last season the Golden Eagles had just two players hit above .300 as five players are currently hitting .319 or better, led by Audie Afenir at .356. Also just three players finished with more than 30 RBI last year as Anthony Sequeira (35), Afenir (32), and James (31) have eclipsed that mark with 17 games left in the season.
• Offensively, ORU has been one of the best teams in the nation, currently tied with top-ranked Texas A&M with the 5th best batting average (.317) in the country.
• During the win streak the Golden Eagles have outscored their opponents 63-12 in the six games. ORU has also tallied almost twice as many hits as their opponents, 80-41, while also just committing four errors during the streak. (3 errors came in one game)
• ORU has been one of the best teams getting on base as their .409 on-base percentage ranks 9th in the nation. The Golden Eagles rank 17th in hits (386) and are 30th in walks (167) that have helped aid in getting on base. Morehead State currently leads the country with a .419 OBP.

UP NEXT FOR ORU

The Golden Eagles return home for a single mid-week meeting against UALR. First pitch from J. L. Johnson Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m.
