TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team will begin its quest for the 2019 Summit League Championship Sunday evening as the fifth-seeded Golden Eagles face No. 4 North Dakota State in the Summit League quarterfinals.

• NDSU leads the all-time series with ORU 13-12 after sweeping both regular season meetings this year. ORU is 2-1 against the Bison in The Summit League Tournament, winning in 2010 and 2011 before falling in the semifinals in 2015.

• ORU will be the No. 5 seed for the second time. The Golden Eagles also entered the tournament as the No. 5 seed in 2000, beating No. 4 Youngstown State 67-59 in the quarterfinals before falling to top seeded Valparaiso in the semifinals.

• Both All-Summit League second team selections, Obanor and Nzekwesi are the only duo to rank in the top 10 in the Summit League in scoring and rebounding. Nzekwesi is 7th in scoring at 15.3 ppg, while Obanor is 9th at 14.5 ppg. Nzekwesi is 2nd in rebounding (8.7 rpg) and Obanor is 6th (7.3 rpg).

Emmanuel Nzekwesi, currently at 1,082 career points and 639 career rebounds, is 27th in career scoring at ORU, 29 behind Luke Spencer-Gardner who is 26th with 1,111 career points. He is 42 rebounds away from reaching the top 10 in ORU history in career rebounds.

• Obanor earned Freshman of the Year honors, the second time in three years in which ORU has claimed the honor (Nzekwesi-2017).

• The Golden Eagles had two All-Summit League selections (Nzekwesi, Obanor) for the first time since the 2014-15 season when Emegano and Korey Billbury were named to first and second teams, respectively.

Kaelen Malone is third in the Summit League in total assists (117) and second in assist/turnover ratio (2.1).
