ORU Picked Fourth in Summit League Preseason Poll

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's golf team was picked to finish fourth in the Summit League according to the league's head coaches it was announced Thursday.

ORU finished fifth last season and earned 36 points in the preseason poll. Denver received seven first place votes and was the preseason favorite after tallying 62 points.  

The Golden Eagles are led by Cody Burrows, who has the lowest stroke average in the league (73.0). Burrows finished the fall season with a sixth place finish after shooting 210 (-3) at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, including a second round 67.

Seven different Golden Eagles played in at least two of the four fall tournaments, with only Burrows and Grayson Jones playing in all four. ORU also added Mike Biata for the spring season after transferring from UT Chattanooga.

ORU will be in action in just under a month as the Golden Eagles travel to Palm Springs, California, February 17-18 for the Desert Intercollegiate.
