Burrows, Montgomery Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars have been announced by the GCAA, with Oral Roberts golfers Cody Burrows and Josh Montgomery each earning the honor.

A new record number of student-athletes earned All-America Scholar status including 265 in Division I. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Burrows led ORU this season with a 73.2 stroke average, posting a pair of top 10 finishes and shooting a team-best round of 66, which is tied for the fourth best round in school history. He was an All-Summit League selection for the third straight year and has had a stroke average of 74.0 or better in each of his three seasons at ORU.

Montgomery had a stroke average of 75.2 in 2017-18, and shot a pair of rounds in the 60s as he fired a 68 at the Price's Give 'Em Five, and a 69 at the Missouri Tiger Invitational. Montgomery has had an identical 75.2 average in each of the last two seasons.
