  • Tremendous Second Round Pushes ORU Up to Seventh at Hawkeye Invitational

    With the second best round in program history, the Oral Roberts men’s golf team moved up the leaderboard and sits in seventh place after two rounds of the Hawkeye Invitational. ORU (285-278—563) is in a tight race for third, just four shots back of the third spot, while Iowa (262-277—539) and Illinois (272-270—542) have separated from the field in a battle for the team championship.
  • ORU Sweeps Summit League Golfer of the Week Honors

    A record-breaking duo from Oral Roberts swept the latest Summit League Golfer of the Week honors. Junior Beatriz Garcia captured the female honors after collecting medalist honors at the Kansas City Intercollegiate while senior Cody Burrows earned the male honor after turning his sixth top-five finish of the season at the Missouri Tiger Invitational.
  • ORU Continues Strong Play at Missouri Tiger Invitational

    Matching its best round of the season, the Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 281 Tuesday and moved up to fifth place at the Missouri Tiger Invitational, finishing the tournament 16 under par at 848 (285-282-281). No. 35 TCU led from start to finish, shooting -40, 824, to win the team title.

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team played well in the first round finishing at three under par, and found a way to top that in the second round shooting -6 to finish day one of the Missouri Tiger Invitational in sixth place at 567 (285-282, -9). Number 35 TCU leads the way at 544 (267-277).
  • ORU Finishes 11th at Oregon Duck Invitational

    The Oral Roberts men's golf team shot its best round of the tournament at finished 11th overall, Tuesday, at the Oregon Duck Invitational with a 54-hole score of 896 (297-304-295). Oregon State posted the only score under par on Tuesday and won the team title at 861.
  • ORU Tied with Denver at Oregon Duck Invitational

    The Oral Roberts men's golf team shot 601 (297-304) and finished day one in a tie for 10th place overall at the Oregon Duck Invitational, which began play Monday. Oregon State and Oregon each finished the day one over at 577 and are tied for the team lead.

  • Burrows Named Summit League Golfer of the Week

    South Dakota State’s Teresa Toscano and Oral Roberts’ Cody Burrow continued their impressive play and now have been recognized a combined nine times this season by Summit League officials. Toscano’s weekly honor is her fifth recognition of the season, tying her for the third most in a single season, while Burrows has been recognized eight times in his career – a figure that has him alone in third on the all-time list.
  • Burrows Earns Runner-Up Finish at Border Olympics

    An even-par 72 in the final round moved senior Cody Burrows up to second overall to highlight action for the Oral Roberts men’s golf team Tuesday at the Border Olympics. ORU finished the tournament at 867 (283-288-296) and in ninth place, while Arkansas State increased their lead and won by 15 shots over the rest of the field at 835 (275-270-290).

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 283-288 en route to a 36-hole score of 571 (-5) on day one of the Border Olympics. The Golden Eagles are tied for seventh overall, as Arkansas State leads the way at 545 (-31).

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team finished with a one-over, 289, in the final round of the 34th Annual Louisiana Classics, Tuesday, moving up to seventh overall at 890 (305-296-289). McNeese led from wire to wire with a 54-hole score of 863 (290-291-282).

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team battled cool and wet conditions and carded a 601 (305-296) to finish day one of the 34th Annual Louisiana Classics in 11th place. McNeese State shot 581 (290-291) to lead the team race.

    The Oral Roberts’ golf programs swept the Summit League Golfer of the Week accolades Wednesday. Freshman Sarah Bell captured the first weekly accolade of her career on the women’s side, while senior Cody Burrows earned the fifth weekly honor of his career on the men’s side.
  • Rain Cancels Final Round of Sports Authority Intercollegiate

    30 minutes into the final round of the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate, rain came and the course was deemed unplayable, canceling the final round of the tournament and making the 36-hole results final. The Oral Roberts men's golf team shot -1 (287) in the second round of the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate, Monday, and finishes in a four-way tie for seventh. The Golden Eagles shot 579 (292-287) to tie with Louisiana, Richmond and Illinois State in ORU's first tournament of the spring season.

The Golden Eagles shot 579 (292-287) to tie with Louisiana, Richmond and Illinois State on the first day of the spring season.

    Three teams received multiple first-place votes, but it was South Dakota that emerged from the pack to top The Summit League's Men's Golf preseason poll released Friday by league officials. The Coyotes garnered four first-place tallies and edged Denver, who received three, to claim the top spot by two points. Oral Roberts was third with 49 points while defending champion North Dakota State was picked fourth with 48 points.

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team improved again in the final round of the Pepsi Cola Classic, moving up to a fifth place team finish at 885 (299-294-292). UTEP was the only team to finish under par on Sunday and won the event by 12 shots at 855 (291-282-282).

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 593 (299-294) on the opening day of the Pepsi Cola Classic, and sits in sixth place. Grand Canyon and UTEP are tied for the lead at 573, after shooting 281 (-7) and 282 (-6), respectively, in the second round.

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team is within striking distance of the leader with one round to go at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. The Golden Eagles shot 584 (293-291) on Monday and are in second place, just four shots back of leader New Mexico State (288-292—580), entering the final round.

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team finished the David Toms Intercollegiate in 11th place after finishing the 54-hole tournament at 908 (296-311-301). LSU led the entire way to win at 843 (282-281-280), shooting 21 under par and was the only team to break par.

    BATON ROUGE, La. – The Oral Roberts men’s golf team is tied for sixth halfway through the David Toms Intercollegiate as play was halted in the middle of the second round due to darkness. ORU shot 296 in the first round tying with Mercer after the opening 18 holes. When play was stopped, ORU remained in a tie for sixth, with three teams tied for third just ahead of the Golden Eagles. LSU leads the way in their home tournament after shooting 282 in the first round.

    A 292 in the final round put the Oral Roberts men’s golf team in 12th place at the Trinity Forest Invitational, Tuesday. Baylor put together a round of -14 to win the tournament at 824 (273-281-270) while ORU finished at 867 (281-294-292).

    The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 281 in the opening round of the Trinity Forest Invitational and sits in seventh place against a tough field. Baylor and SMU lead the team race at -11 (273) and the 281 by the Golden Eagles was enough to put them one shot ahead of Florida.
