The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 281 in the opening round of the Trinity Forest Invitational and sits in seventh place against a tough field. Baylor and SMU lead the team race at -11 (273) and the 281 by the Golden Eagles was enough to put them one shot ahead of Florida.
The Oral Roberts men’s golf team fired an 872 (285-292-295) and took third place at the Memphis Invitational. Chattanooga held off a charge from host Memphis and won the team title at -13, 851 (286-285-280). Cody Burrows finished as the tournament runner-up at -8 for the tournament, finishing all three rounds under par (68-71-69).
A first round 285 gave the Oral Roberts the overall lead in the first tournament of the year and the Golden Eagles followed it up with a 292 to finish day one of the Memphis Intercollegiate in second place. Chattanooga leads the way at 571 (286-285), while ORU is at 577 (285-292).
Members of the Oral Roberts men's golf team will take to the course at Oak Tree Country Club this weekend for the 2018 Oklahoma Open.
