TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team fell to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 5-1, Tuesday evening at ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa.
Tanguy Guerineau scored the first goal of the match with a successful penalty kick in the 23rd minute to put ORU up 1-0.
Tulsa's Alex Harris leveled the score, 1-1, in the 30th minute when he scored from six yards out on a cross from Chase Bromstedt. Bromstedt was credited with the assist.
Joe Ruiz put the Golden Hurricane up 2-1 in the 69th minute of play when he scored from 15 yards out. Gilles Kuhler and Thomas Wells were credited with assists on the play.
Tulsa took a 3-1 lead in the 73rd minute with another goal by Joe Ruiz. Ruiz scored on an assist by Chase Bromstedt that was shot from six yards out in to the lower left corner of the net.
Harris Partain scored for the Golden Hurricane in the 76th minute of play to give Tulsa a 4-1 lead when he scored from 18 yards out. Seth Korenek was credited with the assist.
Juan Sanchez added to Tulsa's lead making it a 5-1 game in the 86th minute when he converted on a penalty kick.
