Koncz Named to Academic All-League Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts men's tennis senior, Barnabas Koncz, was named to the Summit League Academic All-League Team Wednesday as voted by a panel of Faculty Athletic Representatives and Sports Information Directors of the league's member institutions.

Koncz was one of six men's tennis players selected to the 2019 Summit League Academic All-League Team. Student-athletes were chosen for the honor based on their academic and athletic performances this season. A native of Pecs, Hungary, Koncz posted a 3.8 GPA as he earned his degree in finance.

"I am very proud of Barni on and off the court," Director of Tennis Mark Milner said. "He is a tremendous student-athlete who puts in a great deal of work. He is a great example of what ORU Tennis stands for."

To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
