TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts Head Track and Field Coach Joe Dial has announced the hiring of former Nebraska standout Bobby Carter to his staff. Carter will work with the jumpers and hurdlers, and will assist Dial with the sprinters.
Carter was a two-time All-American for the Huskers, finishing 12th overall in the long jump at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships and seventh as a member of the Huskers' 4x100m relay team at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
In addition to his success on the track, Carter was also a Scholar-Athlete at Nebraska, and will move to Tulsa along with his wife, Nataly.
Long-time Nebraska Head Track and Field Coach Gary Pepin had this to say about Carter: "Bobby is one of the finest Christian young men that I have ever coached and worked with at Nebraska."
Carter will inherit a group of jumpers and hurdlers that includes USTFCCCA All-American Jaden Purnell, who finished 19th in the triple jump at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championship.
