TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts track and field teams will make history over the weekend as the Golden Eagles host the first ever outdoor track meet at the ONEOK Sports Complex on the ORU campus. The 2018 Jimmy John's ORU Invitational will begin Friday with a high school meet and continue Saturday with the collegiate meet.

The men's and women's javelin will begin Friday at 5:30 p.m., while the rest of the collegiate competition will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday with the men's and women's hammer throw. The collegiate running events begin at noon with the 3,000m steeplechase and will conclude approximately 5:15 with the 4x400m relay.
Teams participating in the high school meet include; Broken Arrow, Collinsville, Del City, Jenks, Midwest City, Nathan Hale and Union.
ORU, Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Missouri State, UMKC, South Dakota and South Dakota State will compete in the collegiate meet. Two-time NCAA Indoor Champion and professional pole vaulter Andrew Irwin will also be competing in the meet.
