TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts freshman hurdler Sasha Wells set a new Bahamas Junior National Record in a third place finish in the 100m hurdles at the 2018 CARIFTA Games, one of the biggest track and field events in the Caribbean.

Wells ran 13.44 to set a new personal best and a mark that would have broken the school record if it had taken place during an NCAA sanctioned event.  Wells broke the previous record of 13.51, set by Krystal Bodie on June 28, 2008. The current school record is 13.50, set by Autumn Hubbard at the 2009 NCAA Midwest Regional.

Wells and her ORU teammates will return to the track Saturday, April 7, for the Baylor Invitational.
