ORU Track Adds Pair of Transfers

TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts Head Track and Field Coach Joe Dial has announced the signing of a pair of transfers in Shalom Keller and Devin Simon.

Shalom Keller // Ruidoso, N.M. // University of New Mexico

  • Aided in a new school record for the women's distance medley relay
  • Holds Ruidoso HS records in the 100m, 200m, 400, 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m and DMR
  • Ran 12.00 in the 100m, 24.94 in the 200m and 55.30 in the 400m
  • Daughter of Dewey and Monica Keller
  • Wil major in psychology or business at ORU with hopes of opening Christian adoption counseling agencies after finishing her track career

Devin Simon // Smithfield, Va. // Virginia Union University

  • Graduate transfer from Virginia Union
  • Named Outstanding Track and Field Athlete and was the CIAA Male Runner of the Year
  • Ran 47.3 in the 400m and 21.3 in the 200m
  • Was the Smithfield HS MVP and earned All-State honors as well as a trip to the New Balance National Championship
  • Chose ORU because "it is an academically valued university with outstanding athletics."
  • Son of Dawn Simon and Rodney Simon
  • Will work on his master's degree in sport and leisure administration at ORU
