SACRAMENTO, Calif.  Sasha Wells became the first Golden Eagle to punch her ticket to the next round as the sophomore finished 22nd in the 100m hurdles, setting a new school record in the process. Wells' record highlighted day two of the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds for Oral Roberts.

News and Notes
- Wells ran a personal best, and new school record 13.39 in the 100m hurdles, the 22nd fastest time of the day to earn a spot in the quarterfinals of the event.

- Israel Nelson found heartbreak in the 110m hurdles, running 14.07 but missing the top 24 and qualifying mark by 0.02 seconds.
