KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Oral Roberts women's golf team shot 303 Sunday as the Golden Eagles started play in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, the largest Division I golf tournament in the country. ORU is currently tied for 14th overall out of more than 40 teams.

Jacksonville finished the day at 286 to lead the field. Kennedy Ishee was the top finisher of the day for ORU sitting in a tie for 10th overall with a first round 71.

News and Notes
- Ishee's 71 was her third round under par this year. Ishee also got in the red with a 69 in the third round of the Little Rock Golf Classic and a second round 70 at the Jacksonville Classic.

- ORU returns to the Kiaawh Island Classic for the second year in a row after going two years without attending the event.

- Rebecca Hnidka is tied for fourth in the tournament in par 3 scoring at -1 (2.75).

- Ishee is tied for seventh with a -1 (3.90) score on the par 4 holes and is tied for 10th overall with four birdies on the day.
