CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – For the third year in a row, the Oral Roberts women's golf team has picked up WGCA All-American Scholar honors as junior Kennedy Ishee was rewarded for her work in the classroom, it was announced by the organization Wednesday.
During the 2016-17 season, Ishee was a second team All-Summit League performer for the third year in a row and also earned Summit League Academic All-League honors. She posted the second-lowest single season stroke average (74.6) in program history, which was fourth best in the Summit League. Ishee posted seven rounds under par, including a season best 69 three times. She finished tied for 13th out of more than 230 golfers with a +1 223 at the Kiawah Island Classic. She owns a 3.58 GPA as a finance major and posted a pair of top five finishes, seven top 10 finishes and finished inside the top 20 in all 10 tournaments.
To be eligible for the WGCA honor, golfers must carry at least a 3.50 GPA.
