FARGO, N.D. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer battled North Dakota State to double overtime Friday evening, but fell to the Bison 2-1 in Fargo, North Dakota.
Amogelang Motau scored her third goal of the season and put the Golden Eagles on the board early in the first half in the sixth minute. Motau blasted the ball in to the back of the net to give ORU a 1-0 lead after receiving a pass from Jessica Misquez. Misquez was credited with her first assist of the season.
Mally O'Brien gave North Dakota State its first goal of the game and tied the match 1-1 in the ninth minute. O'Brien shot the ball to the corner of the goal off of a Holly Enderle pass. Enderle was credited with the assist.
The game was forced in to double overtime, but North Dakota State's Malley O'Brien scored the golden goal in the 105th minute to give the Bison the win. O'Brien received a cross from Danielle Algera from the left side and connected with the back of the net inside the goalie box. Algera was given the assist.
