LEXINGTON, Ky. – Oral Roberts volleyball's Laura Milos capped an incredible 2016 campaign earning AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention honors Tuesday.
Milos, a native of Porec, Croatia, consistently ranked among the top-five hitters in all of NCAA Division I volleyball all season and finished 2016 with one of the best single-season performances in Golden Eagles' history. She ended the season with 631 kills, ranking fourth in the nation, reaching double-figure kills in 30 of 31 appearances.
A five-time conference player of the week this season, the junior led The Summit League in eight statistical categories, including total kills (631), kills per set (5.79), total points (734), and points per set (6.73). Meanwhile, her 81 service aces and 0.74 aces per set not only led the league, but remain tops in all of NCAA Division I volleyball.
She picked up her second postseason award from the AVCA after being a first-team all-region selection in 2015 and is the first player in ORU history to earn all-region honors twice in a career. A three-time, First-Team All-Summit League honoree, Milos is currently third in all-time kills for the Golden Eagles with 1,716 in her career.
ORU ended its season with a loss to conference champion Denver in The Summit League Championship Semifinals and finished 2016 with an overall record of 17-15.
