Roe Garners Academic All-Summit League Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts volleyball's Tori Roe added another postseason award to her résumé as she was named to the Academic All-Summit League Team for 2018 as announced by the league office Wednesday.

Roe capped her brilliant career with the Golden Eagles earning her first academic award after also landing first team all-league accolades in her final collegiate season. She ends her time at ORU ranked third in program history in total digs (1,627) and digs per set (3.75) in 116 appearances wearing the navy and gold.

The St. Louis, Missouri, native becomes ORU's first-ever academic honoree since The Summit League started handing out the award in 2012. Roe garnered the distinction for her efforts in the classroom where she holds a 3.91 GPA in the sports management program.

Student-athletes were chosen for the honor based on their academic and athletic performances this past season. To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
