TULSA, Okla. – Freshman Cody Burrows burst onto the scene at Oral Roberts, finishing in the top 10 in the first two tournaments of his career. On March 15, 2016, Burrows won the 2016 Bob Sitton Invitational, the first individual championship for the ORU men's golf team since 2010.
Burrows finished with a final round 70 and holed a putt from 40 feet out for birdie on the 54th hole of the tournament to win it.
Until Burrows' victory, David Holtgrewe was the last Golden Eagle to win an individual tournament title after claiming the Summit League Championship at 216 in 2010.
This is the seventh of 15 editions of the #TopORUMoments from 2015-16 as selected by the ORU Media Relations Department and a social media poll.
