About Sorrow

Veteran hurler could fill a variety of roles during senior season ... a good

"strike thrower", Sorrow added a sinker during Fall practice ... has worked hard

on gaining more movement on his 84-87 mph fastball ... very coachable athlete

... could be ORU's top long reliever and is also a candidate to fill the midweek

starter role ... owns excellent command of all his pitches.

2003 Highlights (Junior)

Versatile pitcher filled relief and starting roles for ORU ... was uch

better in relief (3-0, 3.06 ERA, 2 saves) than as a starter (1-1, 6.65) ...

picked up second save in Mid-Con title game ... allowed two hits while striking

out four in 3.2 innings ... was the winning pitcher in ORU's 9-4 comeback win

over Western Illinois (5/18) ... allowed one hit in 1.2 innings while striking

out two ... earned the win with solid relief outing at Chicago State (4/27) ...

allowing two suns on seven hits in 6.1 innings, striking out career-high eight

... suffered the loss despite pitching 6.2 solid innings at Arkansas ... allowed

four runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking two against the No.

24 Razorbacks ... picked up a win in season's first start, going 5.0 innings

against Kent State (3/21) and allowing two runs on seven hits with five

strikeouts ... hurled 6.1 innings of shutout relief in ORU's 7-6 win over Kansas

... allowed five hits and struck out two against the Jayhawks ... shutout St.

Mary's for 2.1 innings to earn the win in ORU's 4-3 victory ... also picked up a

save in ORU's win at San Diego State.

At Bakersfield College

Named 2nd-team All-Western State Conference as a sophomore

after posting a 9-3 record with a 3.12 ERA ... pitched 106.2 innings with 84

strikeouts and only 28 walks ... was 16-5 in two seasons ... his 16 wins are

third in Bakersfield College history ... named all-conference as a freshman

after going 7-5 with a 2.43 ERA ... hurled six complete games in 13 starts,

striking out 66 and walking just 13 in 89.0 innings pitched ... began the 2001

season with 21 consecutive shutout innings.

Summer 2002

Played for the New Market Rebels in the Valley League ... was 2-2 with a

3.18 ERA.
