Played in 51 games, primarily as ORU's designated hitter... named a 3rd Team All-Southland Conference performer at designated hitter... honored as Southland Conference Player of the Week on May 6... batted .295 with seven home runs and 32 RBI... also stole eight bases... added 10 doubles and two triples... tallied 15 multi-hit games... hit his first ORU home run against Southeast Missouri on March 2... went 2-for-3 with two triples and three RBI at Texas on March 12... homered at Stephen F. Austin on April 5... Added another homer, along with three RBI, against Southeastern Louisiana on April 14... Had his best day of the season on May 3 at Lamar, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two stolen bases... homered again two days later in the finale of the Lamar series... hit his final home run of the year in ORU's home finale, against McNeese State on May 12... Smacked three hits at College World Series runner-up Mississippi State on May 14... played in just one game at the Southland Conference Tournament, going 1-for-2 against Stephen F. Played for Klein High School in Klein, Texas, under Barry Smith... hit a home run in four consecutive games during junior season... 1st Team All-District 13-5A in baseball and in football... was a member of the National Honor Society.
