TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts baseball has teamed up with the Vs. Cancer Foundation this March to raise money to fight cancer nationally, as well as here in Tulsa.
The team will be collecting donations for the month of March. Members of the program have pledged to shave their heads in support of the cause. The head-shaving will occur following ORU's home game against IPFW March 26 by the Sports Clips staff of Kingspointe Village.
All of the proceeds will be going to help beat Childhood Cancer with 50 percent going to CureSearch and 50 percent staying local at the St. Francis Children's Hospital Oncology Department.
Fans wishing to support this season's fundraising efforts can donate online trough ORU baseball's coaching staff and players social media pages throughout the month. Click here to donate through the Team page.
The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. Fans and alumni are encouraged to read more about the foundation here.
