Archie Bradley to Keynote ORU's Annual Diamond Dinner Feb. 3

2017 Diamond Dinner Registration

TULSA, Okla. – The 2017 Oral Roberts University Diamond Dinner presented by Imperial, featuring special keynote speaker Archie Bradley of the Arizona Diamondbacks, is set for February 3 at the Glenpool Conference Center. Silent auction items will be available starting at 6 p.m. with dinner and the evening's program commencing at 6:30 p.m. Bob Carpenter, play-by-play announcer for the Washington Nationals, will serve as the event's emcee.


Grand Slam tables, including prime seating for eight and VIP room access, are available for $1,000. A Home Run level table sponsor includes seating for six with two current ORU baseball student-athletes and is available for $500, while individual tickets are $60. Tax-exempt event sponsorships also are available to help support the ORU baseball program.

Bradley, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, was the seventh-overall selection in the 2011 amateur draft after helping Broken Arrow High School to its second state championship as a senior. After making the opening day roster for the Diamondbacks in 2015, he made his Major League Baseball debut April 11, 2015 throwing six shutout innings in a 6-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.


He defeated the defending Cy Young winner and National League MVP Clayton Kershaw in his MLB debut, while adding his first-career hit in the victory. Bradley went on to duel against World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner in his second start earning a no-decision, despite exiting the game with the lead.


In two seasons, Bradley has tallied 10 wins in 34 starts throwing 177.1 innings and is projected to be the No. 4 starter for the Diamondbacks heading into the 2017 campaign.
