TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team will close its fall portion of the schedule with its annual Blue-Gold Fall World Series this weekend at J.L. Johnson Stadium. The Golden Eagles open the series Thursday night at 6 p.m. and continue with games Friday at 4 p.m. and the finale slated for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
With near-perfect temperatures expected, fans are encouraged to come to the stadium and catch the action with free admission to see the defending Summit League regular season and tournament champions in action. It will be the final time to see ORU in person before next spring.
If you are unable to make it to J.L. Johnson Stadium, all three games will be broadcast with free, live video on the ORU Sports Network at www.ORUAthletics.com. The opening game Thursday night also will feature the Voice of the Golden Eagles, Adam Hildebrandt, calling the action.
The pitching matchups for each day have been set with Taylor Varnell facing Miguel Ausua off in the opening game Thursday. Grant Townsend and Justin McGregor are scheduled to battle Friday, while Colton Larkins and Logan Michaels close out the series on the mound Saturday.
