TULSA, Okla. – Spencer Henson blasted a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Oral Roberts baseball team claimed a 3-1 win over Western Illinois to put the finishing touches on a weekend sweep Sunday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Henson capped the come-from-behind effort for the Golden Eagles as he tied The Summit League home run lead with his seventh long ball of the year in dramatic fashion. ORU tied the game, 1-1, in the eighth on a sacrifice bunt by Cal Hernandez after the Leathernecks broke a scoreless game in the sixth.

Justin McGregor put together another stellar performance on the mound, but settled for a no-decision allowing one run over 7.1 innings. The bullpen kept WIU at bay over the final 2.2 frames allowing just three hits with two strikeouts getting Brady Womacks his first win of the season.

Quote of the Day

"You know what; Spencer has been good all year. You look at his number and he's a guy who has been very productive all year. I'm glad he got another chance right there and was able to capitalize. That was a good team win and another great start by Justin. I thought our bullpen was outstanding. It was a good weekend for us." – Head Coach Ryan Folmar

Turning Point

Hernandez got the offense going in the 10th inning with a one-out single to right field and Henson stepped in with two outs and the winning run at first base. The sophomore delivered in a big way as he drove a 2-2 pitch through the wind and over the fence in left center for the walk-off home run, the only extra-base hit for the Golden Eagles in the contest.

Inside the Box Score

- McGregor gave up seven hits and struck out five in his 7.1 innings of work lowering his league-leading earned run average to 2.35. In the sixth inning, the senior surrendered his first earned run to the Leathernecks in 12 complete innings this season spanning two outings.
