OMAHA, Neb. – Behind 12 hits and 11 walks, the Oral Roberts baseball team closed the 2019 regular season winning 13-9 at Omaha Saturday afternoon from Seymour Smith Park.

Riley Keizor's four RBI and a four-run effort by Jake McMurray paced the Golden Eagles as the top four hitters in the lineup combined for nine hits, nine runs and seven RBI.

ORU jumped out to a 5-0 lead by scoring twice in the first and added three runs in the second inning, but needed a five-run sixth inning to reclaim a lead over the Mavericks and win the road series.

Quote of the Day

"It was good to see us come from behind again and get a lot of big hits in key moments. We had production from across the lineup, so hopefully that prepares us for the conference tournament. Hunter solidified the game for us over the last four innings and pitched really well. It's good to finish the regular season on a high note and we'll try to carry that momentum into next week." - Head Coach Ryan Folmar

Turning Point

A five-run sixth inning by the Golden Eagles erased a 7-6 deficit after Omaha took its only lead of the day in the bottom of the fifth. Three-straight singles from Hunter Wilson, Spencer Henson and Keizor tied the game and a two-run single off the bat of Trevor McCutchin put ORU in front, 9-7. Hunter Swift extended the frame on a RBI single to right and Blake Hall added a sacrifice fly as the visitors took command of the contest leading 11-7.
