#ORUBase Sends 15 to Collegiate Summer Leagues

TULSA, Okla. – Fifteen members of the Oral Roberts baseball team are away from home playing in summer collegiate leagues across the country.

A strong contingent of Golden Eagles packed up and headed west as eight players are spending the summer playing in the California Collegiate League.

Ryan Cash and Isaac Coffey returned to the Santa Barbara Foresters for their second year with the team trying to repeat as National Baseball Congress World Series champions. Blake Hall also made the trip west joining his ORU teammates with the Foresters.

The San Francisco Seals got three players from the Tulsa area as Drew Lowe, Jake McMurray and Alex Schmitz made the coastal journey.

A pair of ORU student-athletes, Hunter Swift and Tanner Lindsly, are on the roster with the San Luis Obispo Blues rounding out the group in California.

For the second-consecutive year, AJ Archambo and Brody Gibson will continue to play on the same summer team. This time, the soon-to-be juniors traveled north to Wisconsin playing in the Northwoods League with the Madison Mallards.

Coming off fantastic freshman campaigns with the Golden Eagles, pitchers Sam Rainwater and Trey Wolf joined forces on the Quincy Gems of the Prospect League.

Another pair of ORU teammates are spending the summer together as Carter Dobrinski and Landon Odom are in the Expedition League with the Western Nebraska Pioneers.

Marcos Villegas remains the closest to campus following a redshirt season in 2019 as he trekked to the Joplin Outlaws in the MINK Collegiate Summer Baseball League.
