Redshirt Sophomore Guard Korey Billbury
On teammate Brandon Conley's play
"When Brandon is running around getting rebounds and those and-ones, it helps our whole team. We all respond to Brandon's energy from the bench to the floor."
On winning four of the last five games
"We talk about setbacks and comebacks and this is the perfect situation for us to show our comeback and prove everyone wrong."
Head Coach Scott Sutton
On the win
"For the last 13 or 14 minutes of the first half, I thought we played really well and defended well. Shawn didn't shoot very well tonight, but if he shoots better we will be a lot stronger. We came out strong the second half and held a big lead, but then let them come back and we need to learn to capitalize on those leads."
On Brandon Conley's play
"Brandon is getting better and playing and with more confidence and has really separated himself from the other guys. When he plays well he makes us a lot better basketball team. When he goes out there with energy it really helps us and the guys really respond. He is a guy who can grab a lot of rebounds, and is a guy who can score."
On needing to finish the season strong
"I look at it one day at a time. If we can beat Northwestern and Stephen F. Austin, that will help give us a chance to get on a big time roll and we will be flying high into the tournament."
