Quick Hits
• Having never played before last year, ORU and New Mexico State will face off for the second year in a row as part of the home-and-home contract. ORU won last year's meeting 86-83 at the Mabee Center.

• A win Monday would snap a three-game losing skid and give ORU a 9-5 record in the non-conference season. The nine wins would match the most wins before Christmas since the 2011-12 season when ORU was 9-4 at the break.

• A loss Monday would put ORU at 8-6 and be a four-game losing streak for the first time since the 2013-14 season.

• So far this year, ORU has claimed the PSO Mayor's Cup for the third year in a row with a 70-68 win over Tulsa, and swept through the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic at  James Madison to win the tournament with a 3-0 record.

Albert Owens and Obi Emegano (MVP) were each named to the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic All-Tournament Team after helping ORU to a 3-0 record and tournament championship.

• ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League in the preseason poll, although the Golden Eagles did pick up one first place vote. Obi Emegano, who has earned a pair of Player of the Week honors already, was tabbed as the league's Player of the Year.
