Quick Hits

• ORU and Western Illinois have met 36 times entering Saturday's contest. ORU has won 29 of those (29-7), including six of the last seven.

A win Saturday would make it three straight wins for the Golden Eagles. Even with an 8-2 start to the year, ORU's most consecutive wins this season were four as part of  the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic.

A loss Saturday would be the first regular regular season loss to Western Illinois since February 11, 2010.

• ORU started the year 8-2, claimed the PSO Mayor's Cup for the third year in a row with a 70-68 win over Tulsa, and swept through the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic at  James Madison to win the tournament with a 3-0 record.

Albert Owens and Obi Emegano (MVP) were each named to the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic All-Tournament Team after helping ORU to a 3-0 record and tournament championship.

• ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League in the preseason poll, although the Golden Eagles did pick up one first place vote. Obi Emegano, who has earned a league-best three Player of the Week honors already, was tabbed as the league's Player of the Year.
