Quick Hits
• ORU holds an 8-6 record against South Dakota State, with 13 of the 14 previous meetings coming since 2007 as league opponents. The previous meeting was during the 1967-68 season. ORU was swept by the Jackrabbits last season and SDSU is riding a three-game winning streak inside the series.

A win Thursday would make it four straight wins for the Golden Eagles. Even with an 8-2 start to the year, ORU's most consecutive wins this season were four as part of the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic.

A loss Thursday would be the second loss at home this season, matching the total from last year, when ORU finished the year 12-2 at the Mabee Center.

• ORU started the year 8-2, claimed the PSO Mayor's Cup for the third year in a row with a 70-68 win over Tulsa, and swept through the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic at James Madison to win the tournament with a 3-0 record.

Albert Owens and Obi Emegano (MVP) were each named to the Men Against Breast Cancer Classic All-Tournament Team after helping ORU to a 3-0 record and tournament championship.

• ORU was picked to finish third in The Summit League in the preseason poll, although the Golden Eagles did pick up one first place vote. Obi Emegano, who has earned a league-best three Player of the Week honors already, was tabbed as the league's Player of the Year.
