Emegano Earns Academic All-League Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Oral Roberts senior Obi Emegano has earned a spot on the Summit League Men's Basketball Academic All-League Team it was announced by the league office Thursday. The team was voted on by the faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors from each member institution and were chosen based on their academic and athletic performances this season.

Emegano, who has a 3.34 GPA as a psychology (undergrad) and counseling (grad) major, led The Summit League in scoring at 23.1 points per game and was a first team all-league selection. He had a league-high four 30-point games and 21 20-point games. Emegano scored a career-high 38 points at Fort Wayne and hit the game-winning shot against Tulsa with two seconds remaining on the clock. He was an NABC All-District first team selection and is top-10 in the nation in scoring this season.

Jacobson, with a 3.99 GPA in zoology/pre-dentistry, started all 33 games and averaged 12.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He shot 44 percent from the field and played a team-best 34.3 minutes per game. Jacobson was tabbed as an Academic All-America third team selection after earning Academic All-District honors.

Kading, who has a 3.82 GPA as an accounting major, played in 31-of-33 games after missing the first two contests while recovering from off-season surgeries. He shot 54 percent from the field while averaging 3.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Kading finished his career tied for the most victories (90) by an NDSU player.

Miller, with a 3.82 GPA as an accounting major, led his team with 15.3 points per game. He also averaged 4.8 rebounds in 33.8 minutes per game and scored in double-figures in 22-of-26 games played, Miller shot 41 percent from three-point range and connected on 67 treys during the season. He was a Academic All-America and All-District honoree this season.

O'Leary, who has a 3.81 GPA in management, was one of two IUPUI players to start every game and led his team in assists (69) and rebounds (191) and ranked second in scoring (10.3 ppg) and steals (32). He scored in double-figures 19 times during the season and closed the year with a career-high 12 rebounds in The Summit League quarterfinal. Earlier this season, O'Leary became IUPUI's first Academic All-District selection.

To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
