TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team makes its first appearance in front of a national television audience heading to Creighton to challenge the Bluejays Tuesday night on FS1. First tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside CHI Health Center Omaha.

Scouting the Opponent

• The Golden Eagles and Bluejays meet on the hardwood for the 12th time in program history with Creighton holding a 7-4 edge in the series winning six of the last seven.

 

• Creighton opens a season-long, four-game homestand Tuesday following an overtime win versus No. 12 Texas Tech in Las Vegas Friday, 83-76.

 

• Marcus Zegarowski (18.4), Ty-Shon Alexander (16.1) and Mitch Bollock (12.7) all average double-digit scoring leading the Bluejays and play more than 34 minutes per game.

 

Quick Hits

• Six different players scored at least nine points as the Golden Eagles downed Southwestern Christian, 99-45, last Monday night staying unbeaten at home this year.

 

• After pulling down 23 offensive rebounds against the Eagles, ORU moved to fifth in the NCAA averaging 15.3 offensive boards per game and are sixth in total rebounds per game.

 

• The Golden Eagles top returning scorer and rebounder from a season ago, Emmanuel Nzekwesi, has tallied 14.5 ppg, while Max Abmas (14.4), Deondre Burns (13.0) and Kevin Obanor (11.9) also score in double digits.

 

• Nzekwesi and Obanor were Preseason All-Summit League First Team selections after earning second team honors last year, while Obanor was a Freshman All-American.
