Men's Golf Earns GCAA Team Academic Award

TULSA, Okla.  – The Oral Roberts men's golf team has earned a 2016 Team Academic Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America, it was announced by the organization this week.

With the help of an Academic All-American, the squad posted a 3.3 team GPA last semester, well above the required 3.00 team GPA required to earn the recognition. Of the 11 golfers on the men's golf roster, nine have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.

In addition to Trevor Torgerson's Academic All-American award, the ORU men's golf team claimed an individual tournament title with freshman Cody Burrows winning the 2016 Bob Sitton Invitational. The Golden Eagles also notched five top-5 finishes as a team and 10 individual top-10 finishes during the season.
