TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts University men's soccer team is set to play its first home match in three weeks as the Golden Eagles host Houston Baptist on Monday. Kickoff at the Case Soccer Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m.
ORU (2-2-1) suffered two losses last week, losing on Wednesday at cross-town rival Tulsa, 4-1, and on Friday at SMU, 2-0. Matthew Rogers scored the lone goal of the week in the 80th minute against the Golden Hurricane.
The Golden Eagles look to get back on track against a HBU (1-2-2) team that went 1-1 over the weekend at the Lipscomb Invitational. The Huskies lost the first game of the tournament against Lipscomb 4-1. However, HBU rebounded in the second contest as the Huskies shutout Belmont, 4-0.
Patrick Toh leads the Huskie offense with a team-high three goals this season, while Tobenna Uzo and Thilo Borgmann have each netted two goals.
On September 5, ORU and HBU faced off on the Huskies' home pitch, finishing in a 1-1 draw. Uzo started the scoring with a goal in the 27th minute to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead, but Johnny Chavez delivered the equalizer in the 52nd minute.
HBU leads the all-time series between the two programs, 5-1-1, winning five of the last six meetings.
