Men's Soccer Picks Up Draw at Missouri State

The Basics
Score: Oral Roberts 0 - Missouri State 0
Records: ORU (0-1-1), MSU (0-1-1)
Location: Allison South Stadium - Springfield, Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Steady defensive play and big stops down the stretch held off the Missouri State offense from netting the go-ahead goal as the ORU men's soccer team picked up a 0-0 draw in Springfield Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles held the Bears to just one shot in the first half as ORU's aggressive defense did not allow MSU to get any rythm going before the break.

The remaining 65 minutes were a different story as the Bear's offense woke up from its slumber to fire 12 shots at first-year goalkeeper Hunter Harrison who started the second half for ORU.

Oral Robert's defense held steady though throughout the second half and overtime periods to secure the draw.

Four ORU players picked up yellow cards in the match that saw 29 total fouls.

Freshman midfielder Alex Harris led the way with five shots while Kaspars Kokis fired off two shots.
