TULSA, Okla. – Matthew Rogers played hero for the Oral Roberts men's soccer team Thursday night at the Case Soccer Complex as he netted the game-winning penalty kick in double overtime to give the Golden Eagles a 2-1 victory over UC Irvine.

The Anteaters (1-3-2) came into the match receiving votes in several national polls but were held at bay for most of the match by the ORU backline defenders of Arturo Rodriguez, Tarik Nicholls, Alex White and Baptiste Vandeputte.
