TULSA, Okla. – Tarik Salkicic scored the game-winner with 4:43 left in double overtime to give the Oral Roberts men's soccer team a 3-2 victory over Summit League foe Western Illinois Saturday night at the Case Soccer Complex.

Western Illinois (2-7-1, 0-2-0 SL) scored to start things off 18-minutes into the first half off a cross from 25-yards out that was deflected around the box and eventually finished by WIU's Erick Bloom to put WIU ahead.

ORU (4-4-1, 2-0-0 SL) would fight back just minutes later though when Matthew Rogers scored his first non-penalty kick goal of the season on a header to tie the match after a prior ball was sent off the crossbar.

The Leathernecks would rally after a missed ORU penalty kick to take the lead once more, but Edgardo Mira sent in the equalizer in the 65th minute as he dribbled inside the WIU box and shot just past the Leatherneck keeper for his first goal of the year.

Hunter Harrison played a phenomenal match in net for the Golden Eagles, directing the defensive backline to hold WIU to only seven shots. Harrison, a freshman, made two saves in 105 minutes of action.

Turning Point
Salkicic's goal in double overtime which was the first of his career pushed the Golden Eagles to its second Summit League win in the last week.
