TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against Missouri State, on Senior Night Monday evening at the Case Soccer Complex. The Golden Eagles move to 6-6-3 on the year with only one regular season match remaining on the schedule.

ORU and Missouri State played to a scoreless draw two months ago in Springfield, Mo. This time, both teams came out and capitalized on their chances, but neither was able to take a late goal for the victory.

Missouri State went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead after the Bears pushed ahead on a goal from in front of the net 25 minutes into play by Jake Laird.

Answering the call though was senior Juan Diego Padilla, who was playing his last match in front of the home crowd. Padilla scored his third career goal in the 49th to tie the match at one after a nifty pass in the box by Alex Harris.

The Bears answered six-minutes later to take the lead once more after Connor Ingram headed in a free kick ball from 10-yards out.

Another senior in Arturo Rodriguez would tie the match in the 62nd minute after putting in a rebound shot for his first career goal. Senior Alex White was credited with the assist.

Both teams played ferocious defense in the overtime periods. ORU took four shots while the visiting Bears were held to just two in the final 20 minutes of play.
