Golden Eagles Fall to Tulsa in Exhibition Match

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team fell to the University of Tulsa 2-1 Saturday evening at the Case Soccer Complex in the team's final exhibition match of the season.

Freshman newcomer Jose Castro scored the first goal of the game from 16 yards out in the 30th minute for the Golden Eagles. Corey Cantor was credited with the assist.

In the second half, Tulsa's Rollie Rocha tied the game with a penalty kick in the 50th minute.

The Golden Hurricane scored the go ahead goal in the 64th minute when Chase Bromstedt received a pass from the left side by Cameron Drackett and scored from inside the box. Drackett was credited the assist.

- Tulsa out-shot ORU 18-12 in the match. The Golden Eagles had 10 shots on goal.

- Thibaut Giquel played all 90 minutes for ORU and recorded six saves.

- Between the two teams there were 42 fouls. Tulsa had eight shots on goal and nine saves. There were five yellow cards given in tonight's game.

- The Golden Eagles had eight newcomers play in their first career college soccer game.
