ORU Claims 4-1 Win over Drake Friday

TULSA, Okla. – The ORU men's soccer team earned its first victory of the season with a 4-1 win over the Drake Bulldogs Friday evening at the Case Soccer Complex.

ORU's first goal came off of a sneaky play by Reed Berry who stole the ball from the Drake keeper and turned inside the 18 yard box and put the ball in the back of the net. Berry scored his first career goal and first goal of the season for ORU in the 17th minute of play

Fredrik Ullersmo scored his first career goal a minute later when he took the ball from the right side and connect with the back of the net in the 18th minute. Ullersmo's goal was assisted by Max Roetcisoender.

In the second half, Drake made it a 2-1 game with Leroy Ensuguzi scoring his first goal of the season in the 79th minute.

 Berry recorded a brace scoring his second goal of the night in the 80th minute. Juan Arias was credited with the assist.

Dante Brigida scored the fourth goal for the Golden Eagles and his first of the season on a breakaway that he dribbled around the keeper to connect in the 83rd minute.

-ORU had 12 shots on the night and held Drake to nine.

-Miles Motakef played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded three saves. Motakef moves to 1-0 on the season.

-There were 21 fouls in the match and six yellow cards handed out in the game.
