LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Oral Roberts indoor track and field team competed for the first time in 2017 turning in several top performances and two event titles at the Bill Easton Classic inside the Anschutz Sports Pavilion hosted by the University of Kansas.

Sophomore Israel Nelson continued his dominance in the men's 60-meter hurdles winning both the preliminary round and the finals for the second time in as many meets this season. Meanwhile, the men's team of Aobakwe Malau, Omeiza Akerele, D'Khari Hicks and Reinhard Ndlovu capped the night winning the 4x400 relay.

News & Notes
- Israel Nelson, who was named Summit League Track and Field Athlete of the Week after his event title in the season opener, won for the second time during the indoor season. His time of 7.90 seconds in the finals currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division I.

- For the second-straight meet, Ndlovu turned in a second-place effort, this time in the 200 meters as he ran the second-fastest time in The Summit League this season, winning his flight in 22.45 seconds.

- Cameron Hilliard (400 meters) and Omega Reese (800 meters) paced the Golden Eagle women as each finished third in their respective race.

- ORU had two women reach the finals of the 60 meters as both Mercy Abire and Kirsten Burnett raced into the final eight. Abire's top time for the night, 7.66 seconds, puts her into second on the conference's performance list.
