ORU Track and Field Take Three Event Titles at Herm Wilson Invitational

WICHITA, Kan. – The Oral Roberts men's and women's track and field teams placed highly across multiple events at Wichita State's Herm Wilson Invitational inside the Heskett Center Friday and Saturday.

The Golden Eagles managed to place third and earn 75 team points on both the men's and women's sides. Many performances were personal bests or ranked near the top of The Summit League. Sophomore Jaden Purnell (triple jump) and freshman Jordan Baker (shot put) both achieved personal bests, at 15.01 meters and 12.13 meters, respectively, pacing the men. Cameron Hilliard (60 meters) placed third, Madolyn Palodichuk (400 meters) ran to the top 15 in the conference placing fourth and the women's 4x400 relay team took fifth.

News & Notes
- Both the men's and women's pole vaulters showed great performances for the Golden Eagles. Justin Estala, Tommy Dial and Matt Owen placed in the top five, finishing first and tied for third, respectively. Meanwhile for the women, Tiffany Richeson picked up an event title, while Brittany McDonald claimed third.

- The women's 4x400 relay team of Cameron Hilliard, Madolyn Palodichuk, Destanie Thomas and Omega Reese took fourth place, posting the fifth-fastest time in the Summit League, crossing the finish line in 3:58.95.

- Though placing fourth, Hilliard (60 meters) tied her personal best and took over the third-best time in The Summit League at 7.72 in the race finals.
