LUBBOCK, Texas – It was an impressive weekend for the Oral Roberts track and field team at the Texas Tech Open Friday and Saturday at the Sports Performance Center.

The Golden Eagles picked up an event title in the women's mile run right away Saturday as senior Omega Reese flew around the track in a personal-best time that shattered her previous top time by 16 seconds.

Aniekeme Etim continued to enjoy sprinting at the Sports Performance Center as she matched her school-record time Friday in the finals of the 60 meter dash. The freshman ran a 7.48 in the preliminary round and followed that with a 7.37-second effort in the finals to place second in a stacked field featuring returning All-Americans. She remains The Summit League leader in the event as well as the 200 meters.

The men's 4x400 relay team posted one of the fastest times in school history on the way to a third-place finish in the final event of the meet. The time of 3:09.26 is six seconds faster than any other relay team in The Summit League this season and is the 24th best in the nation.
