ORU Has 15 Named to All-Summit League Team

ELMHURST, Ill. – A total of 108 student-athletes were recognized Tuesday as 2018 outdoor track & field all-league honorees for their outstanding individual performances at Summit League Championships in Tulsa, Okla., last weekend.

North Dakota State and South Dakota State tied for the most All-Summit selections on the men's side with 16, while women's co-champion South Dakota boasted the most of any team with 20 All-Summit Leaguers on its squad. Here is a specific breakdown of all-league selections by university and gender:

  • ORU Women (7)
  • SDSU Women (6)
  • USD Women (20)
  • NDSU Men (16)
  • ORU Men (8)
  • SDSU Men (16)
  • USD Men (13)
  • WIU Men (1)

Oral Roberts' Aniekeme Etim (100m, 200m, 4x1, 4x4), Cameron Hilliard (100m, 200m, 4x1, 4x4) and North Dakota State's Alexis Woods (200m, 400m 4x1, 4x4) were the only female student-athletes to earn all-league selections in four different event categories at outdoor league championships, while ORU's Aobakwe Malau (100m, 200m, 4x1, 4x4) was the only men's competitor to take home all-league distinction four different times.

To receive all-league status for track & field, a student-athlete must podium—finish in the top three—in an event category at the league championship meet.
