► Oral Roberts opens Summit League play Friday at Western Illinois as both teams are coming off wins that snapped losing streaks to end their respective non-conference slate. The Golden Eagles are 21-17 all-time against the Leathernecks and have won nine of the last 10 meetings including a sweep last season.

► The Golden Eagles are 174-116 all-time in Mid-Con/Summit League action as ORU begins its 17th season in The Summit League.

► Sophomores Faith Ihim and Bria Pitts lead ORU in scoring averaging 10.7 and 10.4 points per game respectively. Ihim posted her second double-double of the season in a road loss at 4th-ranked Baylor where she finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

► Sophomore Kaylan Mayberry has seen her points per game rise averaging 14.1 ppg over the last six games for ORU. Mayberry led ORU in scoring at Arkansas with 17 and Missouri State with 18. She also helped ORU to a win with a career-high 25 points at Kansas.

► Freshman Maria Martianez has been a steady force for the Golden Eagles during non-conference play. Martianez is the second leading rebounder for ORU at 5.5 boards per game. She has also started in all 12 games.

► Bria Pitts has been one of the best free throw shooters in The Summit League as her 82 three-pointers are one behind the league leader, Taylor Thunstedt of NDSU. Pitts is also shooting 38.3 percent from behind the arc, third best in the league.

► A tough early season schedule was placed in front of the Golden Eagles in preparation for The Summit League season. In 12 non-conference games for ORU they faced eight teams that reached postseason play during the 2014-15 season in addition to both Summit League teams that earned bids to the NCAA tournament and the WNIT.
