TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team will face the No. 1 seed South Dakota Coyotes in the semifinal round of the Summit League Championship Monday, March 5 at 12 p.m. inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

  • The Coyotes defeated the Golden Eagles in both matchups during the regular season.

  • ORU will face South Dakota for its 30th game of the season and its second contest in the Summit League tournament.
  • This will be the 12th overall meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Coyotes. It will be the second time the two teams will have met in the Summit League Tournament.
  • Junior forward, Maria Martianez finished the regular season third in the Summit League in rebounds per game with 7.5. She was named to the All-Summit League Second Team for her efforts during the regular season.
  • Senior Faith Ihim scored her 1,000th career point against Arkansas and became the 20th player to score at least 1,000 points during her career. Ihim also has more than 500 rebounds, which makes her the 10th player in ORU women's basketball history to have more than 1,000 points and at least 500 rebounds. She is currently second in the Summit League with 8.1 rebounds per game and third in overall field-goal percentage at 56.9 percent. Ihim was awarded her third career Summit League Player of the Week on February 26. She was named one of 30 finalists for the Senior CLASS award. Ihim was named to the All-Summit League First Team.
  • Maya Mayberry is currently averaging 11.4 points per game and first in the Summit League in overall three-point percentage at 46.5 percent. Mayberry was named to the Summit League All-Newcomer Team.
  • This is the first time the Golden Eagles have advanced to the semifinal round since the 2015-16 season.
  • Head Coach Misti Cussen is in her sixth season at the helm for the Golden Eagles and holds a 91-92 overall head coaching record.
  • If the Golden Eagles win, they will face the winner of Monday's No. 2 South Dakota State vs. No. 3 Western Illinois semifinal matchup Tuesday, March 6 at 1 p.m in the Summit League Championship game at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
