Women's Golf Picks up NCAA APR Recognition

Women's Golf Picks up NCAA APR Recognition

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's golf team earned a Public Recognition Award for its Academic Progress Rate (APR) on Wednesday, it was released by the NCAA after the Golden Eagles put together a perfect 1,000 4-year average.

To qualify, teams must rank in the top 10 percent nationally in the APR of their sport. The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship.  The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.

It was the first public recognition award for ORU since the women's tennis earned it for the 2013-14 season and the ninth since the 2004-05 season.
