Anthony Richardson enters his seventh season as an assistant coach for the ORU Women's Soccer Team.





At ORU his duties include recruiting and running training sessions. Richardson also helps assists recruits with financial aid and benefits.





In addition to his work at ORU, Richardson also serves as the head coach for the Hurricane Futbol Club in Broken Arrow. He is responsible for all planning, tournaments, and the training of the highly competitive '89 Girls and the '91 Boys teams. Also serves as the Club Liason between HFC and the Oklahoma Soccer Association.





He started his coaching career in 1992 as a head coach for the '75 Boys in the Broken Arrow Soccer Club. Richardson also coached for the '76 Boys Tulsa United Club Team. From 1994-1996 he was the head coach for the '85 and '83 Boys Hurricane Futbol Club. He then was the head coach of the '85, '89, and '90 Boys teams for the Tulsa Nationals from 1997-2002. Richardson then coached one year at Kicksmart in Jenks as the head coach of the '88 and '90 Boys and the '86 and '87 Girls teams.





Richardson had a solid collegiate career. He was a two-time all-conference performer at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Richardson also was named to the academic all-conference team and was team captain his junior and senior year. Richardson graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 1992 with a degree in Psychology.





Anthony played professionally for Wiesbaden, Germany, 3rd Division from 1992-1994 and for the Tulsa Roughnecks from 1994-1998. He has over 30 tournament wins from club teams and holds a National C License in coaching.
